The Amazing World of Mashups

I have to admit that I have not heard of mashups prior to doing this exercise. It was very interesting to find out about them and look at some of the (many) sites. I don't know how I haven't heard about them before!

I looked at a site called E41St, which I thought had a really good idea. It combined amazon book reviews and your library web page together. The site allows people to look at books reviewed on amazon, along with the "customors who bought this also bought" feature, then request the books from their library without toggling back and forth. And yes, Howard County Library is one of the libraries on the site (not all libraries are).

I didn't actually get to use the site though because it wanted me to disable pop-up blocking, but I will definately be back to take a closer look.
